McAuley Construction built one of our homes and renovated another after the 2007 fires in San Diego. We were referred to McAuley Construction by a friend and we immediately met with Lance McAuley right after the fires. We knew from our first meeting that Lance was the one we had to have help us through this process. The home that was rebuilt completely was done within one year and the other home was renovated within four months. The process was well planned with great attention to detail. Lance is amazing on so many levels; he is a consummate professional with excellent construction, creative and design skills which made the process seamless and easy. Lance also brings a kind, caring and a calming nature to the home building process, which for us was such a blessing. The homes were built/renovated beyond our expectations and we were so very grateful to have had such a wonderful experience with such wonderful people. Mr McAuley took my inferior blueprints and made improvements. We ended up with a house that was easier to build, less expensive to build, and added more usable space, without adding square footage. Lance’s keen knowledge of the ever changing building rules and his long standing relationships with tradesmen and City officials, got our house built on time and under budget. Anyone that can get that done in a building climate like this, earns my highest recommendation.
